Synonym
Gobius balearicus Lozano & Rey, 1919.

Length: 6 - 7 cm.

Colouration
Dark brown with brown fins. Light margin on D1. Unclear pattern at the onset of P.

Description
Bifurcated tentacles at anterior nostrils. Praedorsal area and nape scaled.
28-40 scales in lateral series.
Fins: D1 VI; D2 I+12-14; A I+11; P 18 (18-19).

Food
No informations, probably carnivorous.

Reproduction
No informations.

Habitat
Inshore, lagoons and among sea grass. Rare.

Distribution
Mediterranean; Baleares, southern France, Sardinia, Adriatic Sea, Greece. After Pombo et al. (2002) also in northwest of Portugal (Atlantic).
