Lesueurigobius suerii(Risso, 1810)

Common names: English: Lesuer's goby
German: Langschwänzige Grundel

Common synonym
Gobius lesueurii Valenciennes, 1837

Length: 5 - 6 cm.

Colouration
Head and operculum dark blue with diagonal yellow lines. Body blue with large yellow spots or cross bands. Dorsal and caudal fins with yellow lines.

Description
Rays of D1 elongated; caudal fin lanceolate. Nape nacked. Antero-dorsal longitudinal neuromast rows of the lateral line system distinct.
26-28 scales in lateral series.
Fins: D1 VI; D2 I+13-14; A I+13-14; P 17-20.

Food
No informations, probably carnivorous.

Reproduction
Spawning season July to September.

Habitat
5 - 100 m, juveniles down to 230 m. Muddy clay, maybe also on sand bottoms. Common in some regions.
